Thanks, Steve. I hadn't looked at that lately. Thank goodness PayPal has listened and fixed that problem.

I'm still not a fan of their overall process, unless they have improved that as well.

It appears that whatever issue there was with the zip file has been resolved.

Also, the utility does work with QB 2010 (at least the Premier).

Robert, I don't have an answer for you. I didn't particularly care for the way it worked in the first place, so I've not pursued it with them. I'm looking at some other PayPal integration products, but I don't have any thoughts on them yet

I have given up trying to make the Paypal Payment Wizard work in QB 2009 - it worked wonderfully for QB 2005. But no longer seems to work.

Paypal "tech support" (if one calls what they have support) claims it no longer works in QB2009. Is this true or what?

The instructions show that you can customize the amount you want to request your customer to pay....for instance, i ask for a deposit, so it is only half of the invoice the first time. But when i go into set up my invoice to send it has the "amount" section grayed out. Does anyone know how i can fix this? thanks

Unfortunately I did not save a copy of the file, since I decided to not continue using it. I also sent a notice to PayPal about this without a response.

Sure would like to try this myself, but the utility downloaded from PayPal cannot be unzipped. No response from PayPal. Would it be possible for you to email me a copy?

Les, I just confirmed what you said, the current version of the utility that you download cannot be unzipped. Interesting.

Great blow by blow instructions. I agree with your findings. To make matters worse, the quickbooks_wizard_US.zip file available from PayPal appears to be corrupt and no response back on my trouble ticket. I'll try to stay inside of QuickBooks and will advise everyone else to do the same.

The certificate issue won't have an effect. That is mostly an issue of making you feel secure that you are installing something from a trusted source. It's a silly thing for them to not deal with. If you download this from PayPal, not a big deal. If a friend gives it to you, you don't know that this really is from PayPal.

I ran my test on Vista Ultimate with User Access Control (UAC) enabled. I didn't see your problem, but I did see others. Hard to say what the issue is, but there are a few things that PayPal did in this program that aren't standard. They wouldn't be able to get this program on the approved list on the QuickBooks Solutions Marketplace because they didn't follow Intuit's guidelines, at least to a small degree.
