    quick books makes a difficult to open files from a older program.

    Walt, that depends on how old. If it is just a few years old, it is a simple task. The main hassle is that once you open it with a new program you can no longer open it with the old program.

    Note that most people who have converting problems are either making a BIG jump in versions (like from 2003 to 2010) or have “dirty” data to start with – you should always do a “file rebuild” in the old program before converting
