FAQ:Unit Of Measure Support in QuickBooks

The Unit of Measure feature in QuickBooks is very useful, BUT for some reason Intuit has limited its use in certain editions. There are two methods of using this feature – single unit of measure or multiple unit of measure.  Here is a list of which edition supports each method.

Simple Start:  Not supported

Pro: Not supported

Premier:

  • Generic edition: Single
  • Accountant: Single and multiple
  • Contractor: Single and multiple
  • Manufacturing & Wholesale: Single and multiple
  • Non-profit: Single
  • Professional Services: Single
  • Retail: Not supported

Enterprise:

  • Generic edition: Single and multiple
  • Accountant: Single and multiple
  • Contractor: Single and multiple
  • Manufacturing & Wholesale: Single and multiple
  • Non-profit: Single and multiple
  • Professional Services: Single and multiple
  • Retail: Not supported
