I have had experience with a company called Insynq off and on since 1999. They have been around since 1997 and are one of the original ASP's (application service provider). I have found that there service is very reliable with no noticeable change in speed of function, their staff knowledgeable and helpful, and their pricing is competitive. They are Citrix based and their installation is a breeze. They offer a variety of hosting and business solutions and are definitely worth checking out. http://www.insynq.com you may be familiar with them as CPAASP http://www.cpaasp.com

Thank you, Steven. I've known about RightNetworks for some time, I just don't have experience with them.

But, I'll quibble with you on one point. You STILL have to worry about backups, on several levels. Yes, they are backing up your data regularly, but you need more than just a daily backup. You need archival backups at period ends. You need a series of backups in case you find that there is damage in your company file (which may have just been backed up!). And the hosting company is most likely not doing a "QuickBooks Backup" so your transaction log is not being resolved (see http://qbblog.ccrsoftware.info/2010/08/what-is-the-quickbooks-tlg-file/ ).

Nice article on QB hosting. I have been using RightNetworks for over 2 years now. They are authorized to host QB by Intuit. They have been responsive to my requests and for the most part the experience is adequate. Yes, there are times when due to internet traffice is does seem to slow down, but for the most part it works great. What I like is offloading the IT headache to them. Plus I don't have to worry as much about backups.
