Intuit has released an update to Intuit Data Protect that fixes a problem that some people have run into. It also provides some additional internal diagnostics. These updates SHOULD be pushed to your system if you have enabled Automatic Updates, but you should check to be sure that you have it.

Oops – just as Intuit is starting to release 2011 R4 to automatic update, it looks like there may be a problem. I can see the problem in my installation, but I’m not sure what the full impact is at this time. I’m recommending that you not update to R4 at this time.

Intuit has released the QuickBooks 2011 R3 update to manual update. This is the first public update to the 2011 product, and it has a number of changes. The good news is that it looks like QuickBooks 2011 must be pretty stable, as we aren’t seeing any earthshaking patches here.
