QuickBooks 2017 R14 Released

| July 18, 2019

Intuit has released QuickBooks 2017 R14, a maintenance release. This update should be available via automatic updates soon, if it isn’t already. You can also go to the QuickBooks Update site to download the patch.

QuickBooks 2017 R14 Payroll Changes

There are some payroll compliance changes for several states:

  • Indiana (except Assisted Payroll): You’re now able to set up your employees’ State Occupational Code(SOC) as seasonal and file State Unemployment Income (SUI) quarterly using the XLT tool.
  • Maine: You can now set up your employees’ SOC as seasonal.
  • Washington: You can now identify and correct Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) discrepancies before quarterly filing.

QuickBooks 2017 R14 Bug Fixes

  • Fixes the issue where the total Amount changes when you print after selecting recalculate (that is what they said, I am not clear what transaction this is for?)
  • An issue with the Payments Login icon has been fixed, when emailing an invoice.
  • Fixes a problem where an error page displays when a user without Realm Access clicks on Customers-Link Payment Service to Company File.

Affected payroll users should update immediately. Other than that, if one of the listed issues is a problem for you, update, otherwise wait a few weeks to see if the release is stable.
