QuickBooks 2020 R12 Released

Intuit has released QuickBooks 2020 R12 for the desktop, with a few changes to user management and a couple of bug fixes.

This update should be available via automatic updates. You can also go to the QuickBooks Update site to download the patch.

QuickBooks 2020 R12 User Management Changes

Intuit continues to refine how QuickBooks works with the Intuit Account:

• If the QuickBooks Admin linked an Intuit Account with a QuickBooks company file before December 2019 that account will be disconnected from the company file.
• If the QuickBooks Admin has not signed in to the Intuit Account for more than 180 days, despite getting three email reminders to do so, that account will be disconnected from the company file.
• A bug fix, now non-Admin users of QuickBooks Enterprise with the Accounts Payable role can send a “Request for Access” to the Primary Admin to join the company file Intuit Account.
• While resetting the Intuit Account sign in by the Primary Admin or a Secondary Admin, you will be prompted to sign in to the Intuit Account.

Bug Fixes and Other Changes

• A new Discovery Hub has been added via an icon on the top menu bar, to explore what QuickBooks has to offer in new features.
• Intuit fixed an issue that prevented you from opening memorized reports that were created in QuickBooks 2018. You will need to do a Rebuild Data after installing this update to be able to access those reports.
• Another issue that was fixed was a problem where invoices would show an incorrect balance amount when a credit memo was applied and then unapplied from the invoice.
