QuickBooks 2020 R13 Released
Intuit has released QuickBooks 2020 R13 for the desktop, with very few changes.
This update should be available via automatic updates. You can also go to the QuickBooks Update site to download the patch.
QuickBooks 2020 R13 User Management Changes
Intuit continues to refine how QuickBooks works with the Intuit Account. This is used to allow you to connect to Intuit online services of various types. With this update they have “improved” the login prompts to better explain WHY you want to do this.
Bug Fixes
The only bug fix that I’m aware of is that this release fixes an issue that prevents Save as PDF from functioning after activating QuickBooks through web registration.
Other Changes
As I mentioned in my article on the first release of QuickBooks 2022, that release will only run on 64 bit computers. The QuickBooks 2020 R13 release has links that take you to the upgrade site, but this release will block you from the upgrade if you are running an incompatible 32 bit computer system. In addition, the program will do a “repair” of your database when you uninstall this release in the upgrade process, if you are moving to a 64 bit system.
