QuickBooks 2023 R4_69 Released
Intuit has released QuickBooks 2023 R4_69. This is a small adjustment release affecting only QuickBooks Enterprise V23 users, plus a small change for the Web Connector that won’t affect many users.
This update should be available via automatic updates. You can also go to the QuickBooks Update site to download the patch.
Changes in QuickBooks Enterprise V23 R4_69
These changes all involve the new Inventory Category feature:
- Categories are now included in the Add/Edit Multiple List entries feature, so you can include categories if you import items using this feature, and modify them in bulk. Very handy if you use Categories.
- There is a new Welcome screen for categories that will explain the feature. Ho hum.
- The Category Center has been renamed to be the Category List. I’m so very excited.
Changes in the QuickBooks Web Connector
The QuickBooks Web Connector is a feature that developers can use to integrate a web-based app with QuickBooks desktop software. It is a bit clunky sometimes, but it works as long as the developer incorporates it correctly. With this update to QuickBooks Desktop Intuit has added a new pref type to the consent screen that lets you turn off the “unattended access” option. This gives developers the option to integrate their app and perform a data sync only when QuickBooks is running, rather than being able to access the database if QuickBooks isn’t active. Again, the developer has to modify their app to accommodate this.
