In my November 3rd posting on QuickBooks 2009 and Online Banking I talked about the problems with the new, updated Online Banking feature in QuickBooks 2009. I received a response from Rich Walker, an Accountant Communications and Media Relations employee from Intuit who wanted to pass on additional information. Note that a lot of this duplicates what was said by Intuit product manager Greg Walker in the Intuit Community discussion on this subject, but it does add more information.

QuickBooks 2009 and Online Banking

As more people implement QuickBooks 2009 there is a rising storm of protest over changes in one feature – Online Banking. The 2009 release made a significant number of changes in this feature, and many people are finding that the new functions make their reconciliation of online banking transactions with their QuickBooks records very laborious. Intuit has heard this, and there are plans to create an update that will fix the problems.
