Using Subtotals in QuickBooks Orders
The subtotal item in QuickBooks can be useful if you want to provide a summary of the price of items you are selling in an order form. Unfortunately, if you try to get tricky with multiple levels of subtotals you may find that this feature doesn’t work the way you might expect. Today we’ll talk a bit about subtotals and how you can get around some limitations.
Review: PaperSave Plus Documentation Management for QuickBooks
A Documentation Management System (DMS) is a program that is used to store electronic documents and/or images of paper documents. In this article I’ll talk about PaperSave Plus, a QuickBooks Compatible documentation management system.
If you are working with QuickBooks you may find that you have various documents that you want to associate with transactions. For example, a customer PO to associate with your invoice. A written contract to associate with an estimate. A statement or bill to associate with a check.
QuickBooks 2009 R8 Update
Intuit has released the R8 update for QuickBooks Pro/Premier 2009 and Enterprise 9. If you are set up for automatic updates, you should be getting it, or get the manual update. If you aren’t sure how to determine what release you are using, see my posting on automatic updates.

An update on the 2009 R8 patch. Intuit has released links to this patch in several places, but some of the links don’t point you to the correct file. QuickBooks 2009 R8 – Online Bank Fixes
A quick Saturday note – more on this later. Release R8 of QuickBooks 2009 has multiple fixes for the Online Banking feature – including the option to switch to the 2008 version of online banking which many people have requested.
