FAQ:How To Change Editions of QuickBooks

| May 21, 2010

In recent years, when you install a copy of QuickBooks you are usually asked to select an “Edition”. Sometimes people find that they have not selected the appropriate “Edition” and want to change. How do you change the Edition?

That depends on what year of product you have. In the 2008 and later US editions, select Help then Manage my license and then Change to a different industry edition.

If you have an older version, uninstall the program and then reinstall it, and you will be asked for the edition.

Which “name”? Your company name? Depending on the version you have, you would select “Company” in the menu, then either “Company Information” or “My Company”, depending on the year/edition of QB you have
